Nurse looking after elderly man

Say Opal Ltd is a CQC registered care provider. We currently provide a high quality Supported Living service for adults from the age of 18 to 65 and above where clients can either accomplish all of their day-to-day activities independently and safely or may require support within a local community, giving clients control over where, with who and how they live their lives.

We operate a person-centred approach, placing the individual at the heart of every decision, and ensure all support is tailored to individual specific needs and preferences. We also assist with Outreach, Transitions and Emergency Placement. Working in partnership with clients, doctors and stakeholders – commissioning groups, local authorities, the NHS, independent case managers, external health professionals and family members who lead the process of identifying a suitable home.

Our Supported Living service can help if you don’t want to live in residential care or you’re finding it difficult to cope at home. We have a range of suitable accommodation – which can be your own home – and forms of personal care.

We provide an extensive selection of services, including homecare and specialist care which also covers dementia, complex care needs etc.

We provide our clients/service users with a variety of services including personal care and well-being, assistance with cooking, shopping, managing medication or prompts, managing bills & money, finances, budgeting and claiming benefits, accessing employment, companionship, learning new skills for independence, seeking further educational opportunities, night support, hobbies, leisure/sports, 24-hour homecare, social activities such as bowling, cinema, country walks, gym, art & crafts, sensory rooms, youth clubs, community gardening, ice skating in Milton Keynes, swimming, cycling etc. – for whatever the service user prefers.

Our care service is giving more independent forms of living.

Offering care and support to adults with mental health needs, dementia, autism, ABI and much more, helping those in our care to reach their fullest potential and live an independent life, while benefiting from the support of our trained staff, and 24-hour specialist support regulated by CQC.

You may choose to make this your home or to work towards moving into completely independent accommodation. We take personalisation one step further by offering packages of individualised accommodation and support that are driven by the capabilities of each person, whilst ensuring all their needs are met.

We also offer support on a 24/7 full-time basis with staff either sleeping in at the service user’s home or providing a waking night. This ensures our clients are able to live in their homes with the greatest possible degree of independence. Our staffs visit the home to support you – whether clients can accomplish all of their day-to-day activities independently or may require support: either help with getting out of bed, going out to college or work, doing simple tasks such as shopping and more.

Say Opal tailor a package that meets clients’ needs and provide the amount of hours of support agreed on by the commissioner, local authority and family. Please contact us for further information.

Accommodations
Some of our Supported Living homes are shared by 2 or 3 people with a similar level of support/needs and some services are provided in the comfort of your own home. Better still, we can arrange accommodation such as a private-rented home or a self-contained single occupancy, receiving hourly or 24-hour support from Say Opal depending on the amount of hours of support allocated to the individual.

• Accommodation is provided in the form of single rooms, double rooms and en-suite facilities. There is a well-sized garden attached to the property, as well as separate entrances and living facilities for the service users sharing the accommodation.

• Accommodation is located close to the town centre and amenities including shops, resource centres and recreational and leisure facilities. It is within reasonable distance of the major road routes.

• The accommodation combines having a place to stay with support and clients living as a tenant in their own home will have their own tenancy rights.
